Last night , the field of 68 got released for the NCAA bracket for the men's tournament. There was shocking seed placements that thought they were deserving of a higher seed than others. There was also one team in the bubble that got in that is questioning the metrics that they used to choose the final teams.

Auburn ended up getting the No.1 overall seed despite losing 3 of their last 4 games due to their historic record in Quad 1 by getting 16 wins in that metric. You are going to hear about Q1 a lot which is considering beating a school that is in the NET 1-30 at home, 1-50 on a neutral court, and 1-75 away from home.

Now we are going to take a look at some of the teams that might get upset of the bracket in its totality.

Louisville got screwed being in an 8 seed considering they were top 20 for the majority of the season. They went 18-2 in conference play with only losses to Clemson and Duke. Their matchup with Gonzaga is one that doesn't work into their favor either with Gonzaga being near the top 10 in NET ranking due to their point differential in conference play in the WCC which only has 2 schools in the conference to make the tourney.

There was also a record breaking number of schools from the SEC with 14 being selected to the big dance. The previous record was 11 in the Big Ten in 1988. When Bubba Cunningham, the head of the committee and who is also the athletic director of North Carolina, said, "when we look at their non-conference schedule that they had and that conference dominated everybody, it was something that we had to consider.

A big conversation has been abut the bubble teams that got selected and who got left out of the tournament. The first four matchups that take place on Tuesday/Wednesday night in Dayton are San Diego State vs. North Carolina and Texas vs. Xavier.

The school that has been most talked about is North Carolina due to being 1-12 in quad 1 opportunities didn't deserve to be in the tournament considering West Virginia went 6-10 in their Q1 opportunities. Before the selection show, a lot of Bracketologsits had North Carolina being the 2nd team out of the field behind Texas. This has led to the controversy of Bubba Cunningham rigging them to getting in the tournament considering he is the Athletic Director of North Carolina. One of the other people of the 10 members of the committee said it was due to their KPOP and WOP metrics that got them in the tournament. North Carolina also had a net ranking of 36, which was the highest of all the bubble teams. Another point that was brought u was that North Carolina had the 4th toughest non-conference schedule but what is the point if you aren't able to win those games.

Another school that hasn't been brought up as much has been Xavier, who was 1-9 in their Q1 games, with their one win being a 2 point win against Marquette. They also didn't have the toughest non-conference schedule in the world either. They have lower rankings as far as the metrics go than North Carolina in KPOP WOP and NET ranking which the committee expressed heavily on the selection show.

I have my final 4 being Florida, Duke, Michigan St, and Houston with Duke beating Florida in the National Championship. I also think that there will be plenty of upsets but the question is which one will bust your bracket...... Wish everyone the best of luck with their brackets!
